Overview
A commitment to human rights for all people around the world is a founding principle of 顶级国产视频. The Human Rights Program works to advance human rights globally through the protection of human rights defenders, the convening of leading activists and decision- makers, and the building of capacity for local actors to promote human rights in their communities.
An internship with the Human Rights Program involves rewarding, substantive contributions to all aspects of the program's work, including communications with those seeking help, nongovernmental organization partners, attorneys, government offices, and local human rights NGOs worldwide.
Interns carry out scholarly research and analysis to inform the annual Human Rights Defenders Forum, as well as produce online content to support and promote public dialogue on human rights issues. Interns also support the Human Rights House and Extractive Industries Governance programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Mobilizing Faith for Women and Girls initiative in Ghana and Nigeria.

+Racial Justice
Position Summary:
The Racial Justice intern at 顶级国产视频 will support initiatives to promote racial equity, advance social justice, and further human rights domestically. Working closely with the Racial Justice Initiative team, the intern will assist in research, project coordination, advocacy efforts, and community engagement activities related to racial justice issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on racial justice issues, including systemic inequalities, discrimination, and strategies for promoting equity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of projects and initiatives aimed at addressing racial disparities in various sectors.
- Support the organization and execution of events, workshops, and forums focused on racial justice advocacy and awareness.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials documenting the impact of the Racial Justice Initiative’s activities.
- Collaborate with other teams within 顶级国产视频 to integrate racial justice principles into relevant programs and initiatives.
- Engage with community partners, stakeholders, and advocacy groups to foster collaboration and amplify voices from marginalized communities.
- Stay informed about current events, policy developments, and best practices related to racial justice and social equity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Majors: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or recent graduate with a degree in relevant fields such as sociology, political science, economics, public policy, social work, or ethnic studies.
- Strong passion for and commitment to advancing racial justice and promoting social change.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing reports, articles, and other social justice-related documents.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Experience with community organizing, advocacy campaigns, or grassroots activism is preferred.
- Knowledge of intersectionality and the interconnected nature of race, gender, class, and other social identities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges.
+U.S.-India Relations
Position Summary:
This project focuses on analyzing domestic trends in India and their relevance to the U.S.-India strategic partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research support: Support the program team in collecting information and building databases on issues relevant to India-U.S. relations and develop literature review documents.
- Logistical support: Engage in diverse tasks encompassing complex problem-solving to basic logistics, ensuring the smooth operation of program activities.
- Event planning: Help organize and coordinate logistics for policy workshops and events.
- Donor outreach: Support the program team in developing proposals and other documents for fundraising purposes.
- Data compilation: Compile and analyze statistics to track program performance and inform strategic decision-making processes.
- Community-building: Foster a sense of community among interns and graduate assistants through organized activities and initiatives, promoting collaboration and camaraderie.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA: 3.75
- Majors: Preferably social sciences and humanities
- Exemplary organizational skills
- Proficiency in written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effectiveness in utilizing various communication channels
- Demonstrated ability to foster a sense of community
