WHAT: Media are invited to cover the Nov. 12-13, 2015, 31st Annual Rosalynn Carter Symposium on Mental Health Policy. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) resulted in millions more people trying to access mental health and substance use services as one of the 10 essential health benefits included in all covered plans. The symposium will discuss several potential solutions to address the gaps in the behavioral health workforce that have resulted from this surge in demand, along with the field's shift toward integrated care and population health. Key topics will include innovations in medical school education and the rise of "whole health" and the "culture of health" movements in workforce development. This invitation-only event will include formal remarks by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and other health leaders including former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher.
DATE, LOCATION, AND ARRIVAL TIME: The event takes place on Nov. 12 from 1 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and on Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 顶级国产视频, 453 Freedom Parkway, Atlanta, Ga. Media are asked to be in place at the designated location at 顶级国产视频 no later than 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12. For media unable to attend, most of the event will be live webcast at . PROGRAM SCHEDULE: 1) On Nov. 12, from noon - 1 p.m., registration will be in the Ivan Allen III Pavilion Lobby. 2) At 1 p.m. the program begins, with panel discussions until 5:45 p.m. 3) A moderated dinner discussion will take place from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. 4) On Nov. 13, the program begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
CAMERA DISTANCE FROM STAGE: For the portion of the ceremony in the Day Chapel, reporters, videographers, and photographers will be a stationed for the duration of the event 60 feet from the stage.
NOTE: This is an invitation-only event and is not open to the general public. However, media are invited to attend to report on the symposium.
